Danang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2025 Schedule

On January 8, Da Nang City held a press conference to launch the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 with a series of exciting events.

Accordingly, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 will take place from May 31 to July 12 with the theme "Da Nang - The New Rising Era". Different from all other DIFF seasons, DIFF 2025 will be the longest and largest fireworks season in the history of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, with 6 fireworks nights and the participation of 10 competing teams from Vietnam, Finland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, Italy, Canada, and China.

Speaking at the press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that not only acting as a "magnet" attracting domestic and international visitors to Da Nang every summer, since 2008, through 12 times of organization, DIFF has affirmed its position as an international-class festival, and at the same time gradually contributed to making Da Nang become the leading city of events and festivals in Asia.

"After 12 times of organization, the city has upgraded it to the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival and has now welcomed nearly 10.9 million visitors, with tourism revenue increasing to nearly VND38,000 billion. The return of DIFF in 2023 and 2024 after more than 3 years of interruption due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought a strong boost to help Da Nang tourism flourish and achieve extremely impressive growth marks," Ms. Anh Thi added.

With the theme "Da Nang - a new era", DIFF 2025 promises to be not only the longest and biggest fireworks season in the history of DIFF, with the most competition nights and teams ever, but also the ultimate and emotional experiences for the audience thanks to breakthrough technological innovations combined with impressive artistic, musical and sports performances.

"Following the success of DIFF 2024, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 with many innovations and breakthroughs promises to open a new era of Da Nang fireworks, marking a period of even stronger development of Da Nang City in the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Da Nang City will continue to research and invest to further enhance DIFF, so that Da Nang is worthy of the title "Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination", said the leader of the People's Committee of Da Nang City. 

In addition to preparing items for DIFF 2025, the Organizing Committee is also urgently planning a series of accompanying events, new and unique tourism products to enhance the experience for visitors, while contributing to improving the competitiveness of Da Nang tourism.

After the past 5 DIFFs, Mr. Huynh Nam Thang, General Director of Sun Group in the Central region, said that it is time for Da Nang to have a large-scale, systematic investment strategy and specific, drastic actions to raise the position of this festival and the brand "fireworks city", especially in the context that many domestic destinations are making positive investment moves in fireworks, typically Phu Quoc - 365 days of fireworks.

"With the position of a city that owns a prestigious and famous international fireworks festival like DIFF, Da Nang needs an ecosystem for fireworks that is worthy and classy. If invested in a high-quality infrastructure system, typically a square or stage, a large-scale fireworks stand, DIFF will certainly be elevated to a new level, at the same time contributing to making Da Nang a destination for festivals and events throughout the four seasons," said Mr. Huynh Nam Thang.
